Artboard 1

Someone sneezes. Someone can’t get a signal. Someone won’t answer the door. Someone put an elephant on the stairs. Someone’s not ready to talk. Someone is her brother’s mother. Someone hates irrational numbers. Someone told the police. Someone got a message from the traffic light. Someone’s never felt like this before.

In this fast moving kaleidoscope, more than a hundred characters, played by ten actors, try to make sense of what they know. Caryl Churchill takes a close look at the Information Age and how stories told through its data-inspired obsessions, FaceTime conversations and celebrity selfies threaten to replace human contact. A series of short vignettes, this piece couldn’t be more relevant to today’s society and the ways in which we communicate in life and love.
